Players League is a game-based and project-based learning experience where students don’t just play, they create, produce, and compete, all while interacting with current and former professional athletes and other guest speakers. Students work hands-on to build real media projects like gameplay highlight reels, commercials, or alternative visual experiences, while competing in Fortnite challenges that lead to a live, in-person finale in New York City at Liberty Science Museum & Pace University. It’s a challenging Workforce Development program with an optional Fortnite esports competition. Game on!

Students kick off their finale experience by arriving in the heart of Manhattan and immediately stepping into the creative energy that defines NYC. After settling into the Times Square hotel, the group visits Rise NY, an immersive blend of storytelling, engineering, and media design that sets the tone for the days ahead. The evening continues with a welcome dinner and a guided exploration of Times Square, where students take in the iconic screens, global brands, and nonstop motion that fuel modern content creation. A professional group photo captures the moment and marks the official start of their Players League journey in New York.
The second day blends hands‑on STEM learning with some of the most meaningful cultural sites in the United States. Students begin with the iFly Physics Master Class, where they learn real aerodynamics concepts and apply them during instructor‑led flights inside a vertical wind tunnel. In the afternoon, they travel to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, connecting history, identity, and storytelling in a powerful way. The day concludes with a visit to the Empire State Building, offering breathtaking views and a deeper appreciation for innovation, engineering, and the ambition that shapes New York City.
This is the pinnacle of the entire eight‑week program. Students present their content creation projects live at Liberty Science Center, sharing their work with industry‑aligned judges in a professional, supportive environment. After the awards ceremony, they explore the museum’s cutting‑edge exhibits and planetarium before heading to Pace University for the Fortnite Esports Challenge and a campus tour. The day ends with a high‑energy celebration dinner honoring their creativity, growth, and accomplishments — a moment students remember long after the program ends.
On the final morning, students enjoy breakfast together before preparing for their return flights. For those with later departures, an optional Central Park Bike Tour offers a refreshing, scenic way to close out the experience. It’s a chance to reflect on new friendships, newfound confidence, and the skills they’ve built throughout the program. Airport transfers are provided during designated hours, and students depart NYC inspired, accomplished, and ready for whatever comes next.
